The challenge
The client's production reports ran on a 15-year-old on-premise MES. Reports took hours to generate, and only two people in the company knew how the system worked.
Any change had to be made without stopping the production lines, which run 24/7.
What we did
We mapped every report and data source, then built a new reporting layer on Azure that reads from the existing MES without changing it.
The old and new systems ran side by side for six weeks while the client's engineers verified every report. Only then was the old reporting server switched off.
